Who is Behind Eclipse?
The founders, friends, and business partners of Eclipse Winery have been working in engineering and analytical management for many years. Driven by analytical thinking, creativity, and ambitious plans, these wine enthusiasts gained extensive experience by visiting cult wineries in California, France, and Italy before constructing their own estate. Today, Eclipse boasts an international team of engineers, enologists, winemakers, sommeliers, and marketing professionals.
Unique Terroir and Vineyards
Located in the heart of Georgia's wine country — Kakhetia, specifically in the Kindzmarauli micro-zone (1st km of the Kvareli-Mukuzani road, Kvareli). Spanning across 35 hectares, the vineyards sit under the historical gaze of the 4th-century Nekresi Monastery, offering breathtaking views of the Alazani Valley. The winery is built directly next to the vineyards, minimizing grape transport time to ensure absolute freshness.
Quality First — Technology & Equipment
The company’s underlying philosophy is: "Best Vineyard, Best Grape, Best Wine." The saplings were sourced from the top Italian nursery. Grapes are strictly hand-picked and carefully placed in small crates to protect every single berry during transit.
Eclipse utilizes top-tier European equipment for its production line:
French gentle processing line (reception elevators, sorting tables, and horizontal membrane presses for gentle extraction).
Italian membrane presses.
Controlled alcoholic fermentation in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks.
Aging in premier French oak barrels and Italian terracotta amphorae.
Furthermore, a traditional 20-qvevri cellar (36 tons capacity) equipped with a fully automated digital cooling system is currently being completed for authentic amber wine production.
International Recognition & Awards
Despite being a young winery, Eclipse’s initial 2020 vintages won multiple prestigious awards at global competitions, including WinExpo Georgia, London Wine Competition, Decanter World Wine Awards, IWSC, Asia Wine Trophy, and the International Rosé Championship.
